WordPress 3.3 Released Today
- 12-13-2011
- Categorized in: Interactive Marketing

Today, they released WordPress 3.3 and it's making life a lot easier. Purely, from a DASHBOARD perspective, the navigation is a lot more user friendly.
Immediately, I enjoyed the new hover menus. Instead of expanding out downwards, the side menu now pulls out to the side when you hover over a menu item.
Also, the floating navigation toolbar at the top of the screen has been more fully populated into pull-down groups with relevant menu items for quick access to content editing. It's smart too. When visiting the site, it offers you access to the WordPress dashboard. When in the WordPress dashboard, it offers you only access to visit the site.
The new media uploader is a great new feature allowing people to drag and drop multiple images and other media files instead of doing this one by one as in the past. We can still select one or multiple files to upload but a lot of wysiwyg users will appreciate the new drag and drop uploader.
Finally, they say that touch screen support has improved for people who use iPad. Now, we can blog from anywhere on the road with these new interface upgrades.
I'm excited to give it a spin now. WordPress has removed some of the challenges of communicating from the road, making it easier than ever from my iPad.
